She claims that she was nicknamed by her clients, and she decided to take on the name in her new career. However, it was often misspelled, hence adding the name ‘Diet’ with advice from her management.

She ended up loving the name as it represents her musical versatility.

Caxah is a long story. I used to work in a bar as a waitress at Casablanca in Mukono. People nicknamed me Caxah, so I decided to use it in my career.

My managers named me Diet. They told me people misspelled my name, so I accepted the name Diet. I have all the ingredients, though. I can sing Dancehall, Afro, Rumba, and Afro-Dancehall; I’m versatile.
